Our infrared wax service delivers a high-performance finish using precision heat lamps to deeply saturate your ski or snowboard base. We apply Holmenkol Beta Mix Red by default — an industry-trusted all-around ski wax — and also offer cold and warm weather formulas depending on your needs.
Whether you’re prepping for a race or just want better glide, our infrared wax gives you smoother turns, faster glide, and longer durability than standard hot waxing.
Includes:
Base cleaning and prep
Holmenkol Beta Mix Red wax application
Infrared heat saturation for deep wax absorption
Optional warm or cold weather wax upgrades
1. Base Prep
We start with a thorough cleaning to remove old wax, dirt, and oxidation from the ski or snowboard base.
2. Wax Selection
By default, we use Holmenkol Beta Mix Red — a high-performance all-temperature wax. Based on your terrain or weather forecast, we can apply a cold or warm weather wax instead.
3. Infrared Treatment
We use infrared technology to gently heat the wax into the base, promoting even penetration without damaging the ski structure.
4. Finish & Polish
Once cured, your skis or board are scraped, brushed, and polished for fast, consistent glide on snow.
What is infrared waxing?
Infrared waxing uses heat lamps to evenly melt wax into the ski or snowboard base, allowing for deeper penetration and longer-lasting glide compared to traditional hot waxing.
What kind of ski wax do you use?
We use Holmenkol Beta Mix Red as our house ski wax — a high-performance, all-temperature wax ideal for most conditions. Cold and warm weather-specific waxes are also available upon request.
Is infrared waxing better than hot waxing?
Yes. Infrared waxing delivers a more consistent finish, extends base life, and improves glide retention over multiple days.
Can I request a specific temperature wax?
Absolutely. We offer both warm and cold temperature-specific snowboard and ski wax for tailored performance.
