Born and raised in Vail, Colorado, Malia grew up immersed in ski culture from an early age, starting skiing at 3 years old. Ski racing quickly became a central part of her life, shaping both her technical skills and her deep understanding of the sport.

Malia raced for local teams in Vail before continuing her racing career at the collegiate level, competing in club ski racing at CU Boulder for Colorado Ski racing. Her background in racing gives her a strong appreciation for performance, precision, and the details that make a difference on snow.

At Alpine Base and Edge, Malia is usually the first person you see when you walk through the door. As the welcoming face of the shop, she plays a key role in connecting customers with the services, gear, and expertise they need. Whether she’s helping answer questions, directing customers to the right technician, or assisting racers and recreational skiers alike, Malia brings both knowledge and approachability to every interaction.
