Our History

Alpine Base & Edge (AB&E) was started by Peter Boyer in 2003. After several years skiing competitively on the US Ski Team he decided to further his passion for racing and precisely tuned skis and opened AB&E. After 15+ years of dedication to his craft, Peter decided to sell the shop and take a little more time for himself; doing so with the hope that the new owners would take as much care for the legacy as he had.

The new owners of AB&E, Andrew & Scott met in Aspen in the 90s while working at Performance Ski. They had the good fortune of being mentored by Tom Bowers, owner of Performance Ski and another former member of the US Ski Team.

After many years in different parts of the country raising families and continuing their passion for skiing and snowboarding, they’ve regrouped in Boulder to write the next chapter for AB&E. They’re incredibly excited to continue offering the expertise and quality people expect from Alpine Base & Edge, while also expanding the product offerings and services.
